Discounts

  • When you know you’ll be in a place for a while, sign up for Living Social or Groupon in the area and scout for deals. You can get your hair cut, enjoy good meals, and even indulge in a few activities at a much cheaper rate. We used this a lot back in Seattle before leaving for everything from dinners to trapeze lessons and loved trying it out in the UK on our travels.
  • Save on costs as much as possible but DO NOT be stupid.  [thanks to Jenni & Lisa at Out & Around]
  • Another good way to pick up discounts before you arrive in a country is to book all inclusive holiday packages that not only provide a package deal on accommodation and flights but in most cases include other great offers such as free meals, tours and discount car hire. It’s a great way to save and also get the opportunity to experience some tours and attractions you otherwise might not have.
